We are seeking an experienced and skilled Staff Nurse/Midwife to join our Neonatal Unit at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team, providing high-quality care to newborn babies and their families. As a Staff Nurse/Midwife, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating neonatal nursing care on a shift-by-shift basis, consistent with evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and plan individualized care for newborn babies, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
- Implement and evaluate care plans, ensuring the highest standards of care and safety for patients and staff.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, including medication management, wound care, and family-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
- Provide education and support to families, promoting their involvement in care and decision-making.
- NMC registration as a Registered Nurse or Midwife.
- Experience in neonatal care, preferably in a Level 2 or Level 3 unit.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and families.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development, with a focus on evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
