Job Title: Habitat Regulations Specialist

Location: Scotland, UK

Taylor Hopkinson | Powered by Brunel is seeking a highly skilled Habitat Regulations Specialist to join our team.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 per annum

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery implementation of Habitat Regulations Assessments, including matters relating to derogation and compensation for offshore habitats.

This role requires a strong background in implementing the Habitats Directive and experience with offshore wind and/or offshore/marine ecology.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the team in delivering Habitat Regulations Assessments
  • Developing and implementing compensatory measures for offshore habitats
  • Applying derogation under the Habitat Regulations and collaborating with stakeholders to manage risk and achieve project objectives
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A strong background in environmental conservation and management
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and an innovative approach to addressing complex issues
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
