Job Summary:

The Business Operations Lead will perform a number of functions aligned to reporting and maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the Managed Services Budget and Forecast in addition to consulting operations activities including intercompany resource management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance of data within the it.Forecast (SAP SAC) system to ensure accuracy for master data and transactional data within the system for Managed Services
  • Liaise closely with the Finance Team to ensure invoicing is accurate and aligns to the budget/forecast, including the wider inter-company agreements for work managed by the Global Delivery Centres
  • Support the month-end closing review of invoicing vs forecasting and resolve outstanding queries and aligning the forecast to any prior period adjustments and budget updates
  • Provide key updates and analysis to the monthly Exec Reporting pack in-line with the month-end reporting timetable
  • Work with SDMs, PMs and Account Execs to ensure forecast accuracy of revenue profiles, including reporting for variance analysis post month-end closing
  • Provide a point of contact for requests relating to forecasting, seeking advice from Business Operations and Finance colleagues where appropriate, to resolve queries
  • Provide regular reporting for analysis of forecasting vs actual and tracking for changes to Sales Opportunities, Prior period adjustments and KPIs
  • Provide reporting to support the SDMs and Account Execs with tracking, management and usage of customer pre-paid balances, including the 'overrun' calculation and invoicing process
  • Identification and implementation of improvements to introduce efficiency and accuracy to the Forecasting Management Process
  • Develop and foster relationships with all internal stakeholders up to and including VP-level

Additional Responsibilities:

In addition to Managed Services operational activities, the role will also include providing additional bandwidth and support to the Consulting side of the UK Business Operations team with general operational activities including resource management, forecasting, management and financial reporting. Training will be provided on relevant local (e.g. it.Forecast SAC solution) and global resourcing systems (e.g. RAMP) required to support these activities.

The role will also provide the opportunity to take the lead with our intercompany resource management function, collaborating closely with resource management colleagues across NTT DATA Business Solutions globally, both to help fill roles/skillsets on UK projects whilst also proactively looking to position UK resources on interco and Global projects to utilize any bench capacity and develop as a strong channel for UK revenue growth.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they have strong experience in a Business Operational role or supporting function.

They will have a good understanding of business accounting principles, financial forecasting, and reporting. They will also need to be a self-starter who is process orientated with a good background in data analysis and reporting.

Confidence in verbal and written communication, including providing analysis and guidance to less experience users, is key to this role with a wide range of stakeholders up to VP-level. They will bring ideas, energy and enthusiasm to a growing team and business.
