We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join our team and contribute to groundbreaking research on the HIV-1 integration machinery.

About the Role

The successful candidate will lead their own projects, collaborate with other researchers, and guide PhD and MSc students in their research. Responsibilities include developing research questions, providing specialist advice, contributing to paper publications, presenting findings, and authoring papers under the guidance of the group leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate research questions and develop specific research project(s) under the guidance of the group leader.
  • Provide specialist advice and guidance, sharing knowledge and expertise for the benefit of others.
  • Contribute significantly to the production of research papers for publication, present findings to group members and other internal audiences, and author papers under the guidance of the group leader.
  • Presentation of work externally at international meetings.
Essential Qualifications
  • PhD (or in the final stages of PhD thesis submission) in biomedical sciences, biophysics, or medicinal chemistry.
  • Good knowledge of and experience in protein chemistry, recombinant protein production, and purification.
  • Technical expertise in cryo-EM, including extensive hands-on experience in image processing, model building, and validation.
  • Track record of writing papers as evidenced by publications (or submitted manuscripts) in refereed journals.
  • Evidence of data presentation at scientific meetings.
  • Understanding of and experience in experimental design.
Salary & Benefits
