Job Summary

We are seeking a meticulous Compliance Risk Management Specialist to join our Compliance Team. This role will play a vital part in ensuring our organisation's adherence to industry regulations, standards, and internal policies. The ideal candidate should possess a strong analytical mindset, exceptional organisational skills, and a keen eye for identifying potential compliance risks.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the Internal Assurance Audit Schedule against ISO 27001, ISO 22301, and ISO 9001 requirements, ensuring seamless integration of audit processes.
  • Support all audit activities to assess the effectiveness of compliance programmes and controls, as well as relevant ISO/IEC 20000-1 customer questionnaires and information security breaches.
  • Complete annual legal compliance assessments against information security legislation, guaranteeing regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee relevant ISO audits, PCI DSS audits, and SOC2 audits, ensuring accurate assessment and timely completion.
  • Develop and champion an Information Security awareness programme, inducting new starters on relevant protocols.
  • Collaborate with the Compliance Manager on customer compliance/governance responses, providing expert advice and guidance.
  • Ensure DORA risk management, governance, and self-assessments are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Design training plans and provide data protection advice and support for staff members.
  • Maintain alignment between company policy and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), ensuring codes of practice are adhered to.

  • Fully grasp VIRTUS' Compliance procedures and processes related to information security and business continuity management systems.
  • Build robust relationships with stakeholders across VIRTUS teams, fostering a deep understanding of the business.
  • Sustainably manage the external audit process, driving operational efficiency.
Person Specification
  • Hold technical expertise in associated standards (ISO/IEC 27001 / ISAE3000 series and TSP).
  • Possess IRQA qualification for internal auditing ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 9001, and ISO 22301.
  • Display in-depth knowledge of Enterprise-class risk management systems.
  • Exhibit subject matter expertise in Information Security principles and best practices.
  • Show thorough knowledge of Data Protection Act 2018-related controls.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate dynamically at all levels and with external partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Embody an energetic and results-driven personality, ensuring pace with business growth plans.
  • Present a keen eye for accuracy of data and interpretation of audit results.
  • Exhibit highly developed planning and scheduling skills for internal audits against predetermined criteria.
