About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Physical Health Needs Advocate to join our team at Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will play a crucial role in improving the physical health outcomes of adults with learning disabilities, working closely with healthcare professionals and community teams to develop and implement effective strategies.
Main Responsibilities
- To work closely with healthcare professionals and community teams to develop and implement effective strategies to improve physical health outcomes.
- To provide training and education to GP surgeries and other healthcare providers on the importance of physical health checks for people with learning disabilities.
- To contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to the provision of physical health checks.
Requirements
- A strong understanding of the physical health needs of adults with learning disabilities and experience of working with this population.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups and stakeholders.
- Able to travel within the rural area, with a valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
What We Offer
A competitive salary of £60,000-£65,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional development.
