Behaviour Mentor and Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Academics Ltd is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor and Teaching Assistant to support the social, emotional, and mental health development of students with complex needs in our specialist school in the Oxford area.

About the Role

As a Behaviour Mentor and Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced team to provide tailored support to students who have experienced developmental trauma, adverse childhood experiences, and specific learning difficulties. Your primary focus will be on promoting the social, emotional, and mental health development of our students, enabling them to access education and reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the social, emotional, and mental health development of students with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with our experienced team to provide tailored support and interventions
  • Assist with lesson planning and delivery to ensure a differentiated curriculum
  • Monitor and track student progress, reporting to the senior leadership team as necessary
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and supportive school environment

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have a degree in a related field and experience working with young people who have complex needs. You will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
