About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paediatric Nurse to join our team in the Paediatric Assessment Unit at Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to children and young people attending the unit.

The successful candidate will have recent experience of nursing in an acute Paediatric Setting and will be able to demonstrate knowledge of escalation and recognition of a sick deteriorating child. You will also have organisational skills, including time management, prioritising own caseload, initiative, and escalation.

We are looking for a nurse who is passionate about delivering safe and competent family-centred care for babies, children, and teenagers throughout the assessment unit. You will work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a high standard of holistic individualised nursing care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, and evaluate safe and competent family-centred care for babies, children, and teenagers throughout the assessment unit.
  • Work as part of the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of a high standard of holistic individualised nursing care.
  • Take reasonable care of the cleanliness of their working environment and adhere to infection control policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Adhere to the NMC code of Professional Conduct at all times and ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures.
