Laboratory Operations Specialist

This role offers the opportunity to establish a state-of-the-art electron microscopy laboratory, provide essential support in setting up and maintaining the laboratory, and ensure that all equipment, chemicals, and protocols are in place for smooth operation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in laboratory management or technical support, preferably with experience in electron microscopy or a related field. Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team are essential, as is a proactive attitude towards problem-solving and supporting research.
The successful applicant will be appointed, depending on experience and qualifications, at either MRC Band 5 (£29,808 - £34,085 per annum) or Band 4 (£39,375 - £43,962 per annum). For appointment at Band 5 level, the successful appointment will hold a bachelor's degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry or related subject. For appointment to Band 4 level, the successful applicant will have a Master's degree or equivalent in biology, biochemistry or a related subject.
