FPR Group is seeking an experienced Microbiologist to join their team as a Laboratory Specialist. This role will involve conducting accurate analysis, evaluation, and release of raw materials, mass, and/or finished goods in accordance with specifications and standards before being used for production.

The successful candidate will act as Subject Matter Expert for all Microbiology-related queries and be responsible for ensuring all micro standards are upheld across the QC laboratory. This will also include supporting the Microbiology Manager in effectively operating the Microbiology lab and assuring quality of laboratory work is performed.

In addition, the Laboratory Specialist will provide expert microbiology, hygiene, and quality support for the site, ensuring that Microbiological risks are minimized. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology and prior experience in Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical (or related) industry ideally.

Key skills and qualifications include strong knowledge of GMP, ISO, and safety guidelines, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Electronic QMS, and SAP/LIMS systems, and excellent communication (oral and written). The salary for this role is estimated to be up to £35,000 per annum, working Monday to Friday, 8:15 am to 4 pm.
