We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join our team at nexos in Aberdeen. As a key member of our integrated brownfield offering, you will play a crucial role in ensuring electrical engineering activities are executed in alignment with our company's standards.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Team Leadership: Overall management of the assigned electrical team, providing guidance and direction to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Tender and Proposal Support: Providing discipline-specific input into tenders and proposals as required, ensuring that our company's expertise is showcased.
  • Process Improvement: Assessing and continuously improving working practices, systems, personnel, and team efficiency and performance, driving excellence in our operations.
  • Client Engagement: Promoting new initiatives to clients and third parties as required, building strong relationships and driving business growth.
  • Project Management: Ensuring assigned work is compliant to agreed budget and schedule, and standards, regulations, and codes, maintaining high levels of quality and safety.
  • Progress Updates and Cost Control: Input and maintenance of project plan, progress updates, and cost control for assigned scopes, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Customer Liaison: Regular liaison with customer focal points and attendance at key meetings, as required, fostering strong relationships and driving project success.
  • Work Output Review and Approval: Reviewing, checking, and approving discipline work output, ensuring that it meets our company's standards and expectations.
  • Document Management: Accountable for discipline checking, approval, and document filing, including electronic documentation.
  • Competency Assessment: Conducting and supporting the competency assessment of discipline personnel, ensuring that our team members have the necessary skills and expertise.

To be considered for this opportunity, you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Extensive Industry Experience: Extensive experience in the Oil & Gas industry with a Degree in an appropriate Engineering subject.
  • Professional Qualifications: Chartered Engineer and Member of an appropriate Engineering Institute.
  • Technical Expertise: Sound technical background and wide range of expertise, including the selection and use of applicable codes, practices, standards, and statutory documentation.
  • Leadership and Management: Highly experienced in the direction and organization of discipline teams within project environments, as well as commercial, contractual, and administrative aspects of Engineering.
  • Design and Analytical Skills: Experience in all aspects of discipline design, including multi-discipline, and the use of analytical methods, including theoretical background.
  • Team Development: Experience in leading, motivating, and developing teams, driving high levels of performance and engagement.
