Job Summary:

KBM RESOURCING LTD is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Team Lead to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will be responsible for providing expertise in the design, calculation, specification, and requisition of electrical equipment and comprehensive analysis of electrical designs to ensure inherently safe systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Engineering Team in the completion of engineering tasks, including developing specifications, designs, and documentation of systems and components, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Apply an understanding of engineering principles and technologies applicable to the oil and gas industry, including CAD proficiency to produce electrical drawings.
  • Provide material costing information for project quotes and assess the cost and time implications of design decisions.
  • Carry out electrical interface design, including cable schedules, termination details, and cable layout diagrams.
  • Create instrumentation on selection loop diagrams, PLC/SCADA I/O lists, instrumentation on index, logic diagrams, and panel design.
  • Perform cable and voltage drop calculations and prepare data sheets.
  • Produce operation manuals, maintenance procedures, and other technical documents.
  • Support offshore surveys, installation, commissioning, and fault-finding services, including some ad hoc offshore travel.
  • Mentor and support Engineers and Technicians during design, manufacturing, and testing activities.
  • Write technical reports and review Engineering documentation.

Requirements:

  • Qualified to degree level in an engineering discipline, ideally electrical, with substantial engineering experience and/or significant project experience preferably gained within the oil industry.
  • High level of expertise and possession of the following qualities:
    • A highly professional approach and outlook to engineering.
    • Significant expertise through a track record of successful execution of Engineering Projects.
    • Experience in overseeing fast-delivery projects from concept to completion.
    • Drive and motivation for improving project execution and the development of other engineers.
