POSITION TITLE: LEAD ELECTRICAL ENGINEER

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

·In the capacity of a global support entity, the Lead Electrical Engineer will assist the Maintenance and Reliability Manager by serving as the primary contact within the Petrofac Global Technical Solutions (GTS) team, providing essential technical guidance and support for the electrical discipline across the broader Petrofac Operated Assets portfolio.

·Tasked with leading a team of specialized engineers, the Lead Electrical Engineer is expected to cultivate a high-performing team that meets both client and internal expectations. Identifying opportunities for professional growth for both team members and oneself is a crucial aspect of this role, alongside effective performance management.

·This position will involve delegating tasks, offering technical support, creating and reviewing technical proposals, and driving operational efficiencies throughout the organization.

·The Lead Engineer will be required to swiftly establish a robust working relationship with the Electrical Technical Authority, aiming to attain the authority to provide Delegation of Authority (DoA).

·Ensure that all work conducted by team members adheres to Petrofac and industry standards and regulations.

·Deliver electrical technical support and implement directives from the Maintenance and Reliability Manager.

·Oversee daily operations, providing guidance and support to all electrical discipline engineers and technicians within the team.

·Contribute electrical maintenance insights into technical proposals, utilizing best practices and lessons learned.

·Assist in the formulation of plans, schedules, and estimates for individual work scopes.

·Collaborate with Petrofac technical authorities to enhance performance standards, preventive maintenance activities, and metrics to support maintenance assurance.

·Accountable for the execution of Electrical Ex campaign activities and fostering growth within the service offerings.

·Ensure that all tasks are executed in alignment with asset priorities and schedules as outlined in integrated plans.

·Strive to ensure that all work is performed within the agreed budget and timeline.

·Coordinate with other disciplines during the execution of tasks.

·Provide necessary support to team members and act as a liaison for all HR-related matters.

·Prepare estimates and assist in reviewing proposed schedules.

·Lead specific change and improvement initiatives.

·Stay informed about technical advancements, national and international standards, and legislative requirements relevant to the discipline, including aiding in the training and technical development of engineers.

·Serve as a conduit to the Technical Authority team for resolving technical inquiries.

·Conduct bi-annual performance evaluations and set goals for team members.

·Facilitate team meetings and provide motivational support to team members.

·Hold monthly discussions with Operations Managers, contract managers, and team leads to develop a staffing profile for annual activities.

·Act as a deputy for the Electrical Technical Authority as needed.

·Serve as a deputy for the Instrument and Controls Team Lead as required.

·Responsible for providing electrical budget input to the Operations Manager during operational expenditure planning.

·Monitor and manage budget lines within client operational and capital expenditure budgets.

·Submit additional capital or operational expenditure requests as necessary throughout the budget cycle based on breakdowns and urgent implementation needs.

·Review budget lines throughout the project lifecycle, including decommissioning of facilities.

·Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities.

·Ability to work independently with minimal oversight from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM).

·Demonstrate a strong fault-finding methodology.

·Maintain a safety-first approach in all decision-making processes.

·Adhere to Petrofac's core values and procedures.

·Possess the ability to strategize for long-term objectives and succession planning.

·Develop a clear personal development plan for succession within the organization.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

·Degree in Engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience.

·Chartered Engineer status is preferred.

·Necessary certifications for offshore travel.

·Knowledge and experience in the Instrumentation discipline is advantageous.

·Familiarity with current and emerging legislation and standards is essential.

·Willingness to travel offshore or to various sites as required.

·Ability to represent Petrofac and clients professionally to business associates.

·Team-oriented mindset.

·Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and relevant discipline-specific software.

·Proactive and driven to achieve results.

·Capable of analyzing and interpreting data effectively.

·Detail-oriented with a thorough approach.

·Adaptable and responsive to changing circumstances.

·Ability to inspire and supervise other engineering personnel.

·Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·Demonstrated cross-cultural awareness and ability to foster effective working relationships across our global operations.

·Significant experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors is essential.

·Proven expertise in offshore oil & gas operations.

Experience in leading a team of professional engineers and technicians is required.
