Senior Health Care Support Worker Position

Job Summary:
The South West Yorkshire Partnership NHS Trust is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Health Care Support Worker to join their team. As a key member of the healthcare team, this individual will provide high-quality care and support to service users, promoting their independence and well-being.
Main Duties:
- Assist in the delivery of psychological and physical care to service users, under the supervision of registered healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain meaningful therapeutic relationships with service users, adopting a polite, positive, and empathetic approach.
- Contribute to the care planning process, understanding the principles underlying care planning and implementing care within established policies and procedures.
- Apply knowledge of longer-term health conditions, providing advice and support to service users.
Requirements:
- GCSEs in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications.
- Apprenticeship in Health and Social Care or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexibly, including night shifts and weekends.
