Pelvic Health Specialist

Estimated salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.

We are seeking a highly skilled Pelvic Health Specialist to join our team at South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Midwife, you will play a key role in developing and implementing clinical protocols and guidelines for maternity service users within the Perinatal Pelvic Health Service (PPHS).

The successful candidate will be responsible for working with the Obstetric team to manage the day-to-day operations of the OASI/Perineal Urogynae Perinatal Pelvic Health Service and contributing to its strategic direction. You will also implement evidence-based care for women with OASI, childbirth-related perineal trauma, and pregnancy-related bladder/bowel dysfunction.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a significant educational resource for midwives and trainees on OASI, CRPT, and pregnancy-related bladder/bowel dysfunction. You will also liaise with women's health physiotherapists to provide training on pelvic floor muscle exercises (PFME) to prevent antenatal PFME guidance for the women they care for.

We are committed to providing leadership and improvement training to all new staff members, including our midwives. This training program has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development program and Quality Improvement Program delivered by the Trust.
