We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at The Holly Bush in Oxford. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation.

As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to control stock and food costs, identify opportunities to maximise profitability, and ensure that all food is prepared to an exemplary standard.

You will be responsible for the overall accountability of hygiene and health and safety within the kitchen, ensuring that all team members are fully trained and aware of food storage, rotation, and disposal procedures.

We are looking for a candidate with a minimum of 18 months' experience as a Sous Chef in a busy food operation, with a passion for food quality and a strong leadership presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Head Chef to control stock and food costs
  • Ensure all food is prepared to an exemplary standard
  • Overall accountability for hygiene and health and safety within the kitchen
  • Recruit, train, and develop the kitchen team
  • Train and coach the front-of-house team
  • Complete daily and weekly stock checks
