We are dedicated to developing our team, offering ongoing education and clear pathways to management. Our young people have faced challenging pasts, which often result in challenging behaviour, including absconding, self-harm, attachment disorder, and physical violence.

As a member of our team, you will be part of a dynamic and flexible work environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and support. You will work closely with our young people, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised care and support to young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement care plans, ensuring the needs of each young person are met.
  • Contribute to a safe and supportive environment, promoting positive relationships and a sense of community.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development, enhancing your skills and knowledge in residential childcare.

Requirements:

  • You will be placed in a team anywhere within the North East of England, requiring flexibility in travel and staying away from home.
  • We adopt a flexible approach to working, with shifts following a 4 on, 4 off pattern, including 12 hour day and 12 hour waking night shifts.
  • A Level 3 qualification in Child and Residential care (or a suitable alternative) is desirable, but we will support you in obtaining this if you do not already hold it.
  • An understanding of trauma and its effects on behaviour is an advantage, but training will be provided.
  • Full right to work in the UK and a valid UK manual driving license are essential.
