About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Claim Handler to join our team at SPE Travelers Management, LTD. As a Claim Handler, you will play a critical role in handling property claims and ensuring that our customers receive the best possible service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and apply policy coverage accurately to all assigned claims.
  • Investigate assigned claims to determine the extent of damage or loss.
  • Negotiate and settle claims proactively in accordance with company guidelines and best practices.
  • Reserve claims accurately in accordance with company guidelines and best practices.
  • Ensure that company service standards are upheld.
  • Maintain data accuracy and ensure that all relevant information is up-to-date.
  • Instruct, liaise with, and manage external vendors to ensure that required technical and service standards are met.
  • Authorize claim payments and reserves within agreed claims handling authority.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain effective business relationships with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Work as a team member to provide support and assistance as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English.
  • Some prior insurance-related activity experience (e.g. paralegal, insurance operations, insurance broker).
  • Intermediate communication skills.
  • Intermediate business perspective.
  • Intermediate ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Intermediate openness to influence, flexibility.
  • Demonstrates intermediate accountability and credibility.
  • Intermediate ability to think analytically and strategically.
