About the Role

University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced children's nurse to join our team as a Junior Ward Sister. Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team of nursing staff to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care.
  • Develop and implement plans to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a degree or diploma in nursing.
  • Significant post-registration experience in a relevant specialty, including experience in an acute paediatric environment.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
