Job Title: Civil Engineering Graduates

NSG Environmental Ltd is seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Graduate to join our team. As a Civil Engineering Graduate, you will play a key role in delivering projects and programmes of work in the nuclear industry.

About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Civil Engineering Graduate. The successful candidate will have a good standard of education, including English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent, and a degree/HNC qualified in a construction-related discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out assurance monitoring of NSG and sub-contractor construction activities
  • Ensure that work performed and materials used are in accordance with project plans and specifications
  • Carry out checks and record details of inspections undertaken
  • Review and provide input on NSG and sub-contractor quality documentation
  • Assist projects with setting-out and determining the location of infrastructural installations
  • Check sub-contractor setting-out by use of conventional surveying techniques
  • Assist with planning, coordination and supervision of on-site activities
  • Interpret engineering drawings, technical documentation etc.
  • Assist with review of sub-contractor RAMS
  • Understand short and medium-term programmes, highlighting programme conflicts and possible sequencing issues
  • Provide advice to projects on construction-related queries
  • Carry-out ad-hoc site supervision as required by the Operations Manager to cover periods of absence
Requirements:
  • Good standard of education to include English and Maths at GCSE or equivalent - Essential
  • Gold or White CSCS Card - Essential
  • Degree/HNC qualified (or equivalent) in construction-related discipline - Essential
  • IOSH Managing Safely in Construction/SMSTS or equivalent - Essential
  • Experience of managing teams in a construction environment (5 years) - Essential
  • Experience of setting out on construction projects - Essential
  • Sound knowledge of construction methods, health & safety and legal regulations - Essential
  • Knowledge of Engineering in the workplace - Desirable
  • Knowledge of the project lifecycle - Desirable
  • Used to dealing with confidential and commercial information - Desirable
