About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our Infrastructure team at Walsh - Structural, Civil & Geotechnical Engineers. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the design input on civil engineering designs for roads, drainage, and infrastructure projects.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in civil engineering, with experience in designing development infrastructure, particularly drainage. A good understanding of computer packages such as XP Microdrainage/Windes, Civils 3D, and Autodesk Infraworks is essential. Experience with BREEAM/CfSH and NBS Create is also desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the design input on civil engineering designs for roads, drainage, and infrastructure projects
  • Work closely with the Structures team and external consultants to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Contribute to the development of project proposals and bids
  • Participate in project meetings and workshops to ensure effective communication and collaboration
Requirements
  • Degree qualified with a MEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent
  • Relevant post-graduate experience in civil engineering design and project management
  • Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering design principles and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
