Occupational Therapist Opportunity in Community Mental Health

Hunter AHP Resourcing is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team in a community and residential home environment. As part of our community mental health team, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary therapy team to provide mental health care for patients in the community and local care/nursing homes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary therapy team to provide mental health care for patients in the community and local care/nursing homes.
  • Develop and implement occupational therapy plans to support patients in achieving their goals and improving their mental health and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for patients.
  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify patients' needs and develop effective treatment plans.
Requirements:
  • Experience working as an Occupational Therapist in a community mental health setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Knowledge of occupational therapy principles and practices, including assessment, treatment planning, and intervention.
