About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our clinical team at The Tower School in Essex. As a Specialist Speech Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.

Working collaboratively with our Occupational Therapist, Psychotherapist, and Therapy Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the integration of our service into the day-to-day running of each provision. This will involve delivering the wellbeing and clinical rainbow strategy at a universal, enhanced, and specialist level to support our wider teams in meeting our young people's needs in line with set Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver bespoke assessment and intervention plans for pupils with complex needs
  • Work collaboratively with our clinical team to support the integration of our service into the day-to-day running of each provision
  • Deliver the wellbeing and clinical rainbow strategy at a universal, enhanced, and specialist level
  • Support our wider teams in meeting our young people's needs in line with set Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCP)
Requirements
  • Recognised Speech and Language Therapy degree
  • Valid and up to date HCPC Registration
  • Registered member of RCSLT
  • Previous experience of paid or voluntary work within a trauma or complex needs setting
  • Experience within the specialist client group (complex communication issues relating to autism, including language disorder, dyspraxia, sensory impairment, learning disabilities/difficulties, and associated challenging behaviour)
  • Clear and concise report writing relating to clinical and research activities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Hold a full UK driving licence, with access to a car (desirable)
