Job Title: Placement Civil Construction Engineer

Farrans (Construction) Limited is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Placement Civil Construction Engineer to join our team. As a Placement Civil Construction Engineer, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading construction company known for its commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Placement Civil Construction Engineer to assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of construction projects. The successful candidate will work closely with our experienced engineers and project managers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake surveys and setting-out on site
  • Prepare drawings and calculations to ensure quality control and compliance procedures are adhered to for engineering
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure that deadlines are being met
  • Liaise with clients and carry out site investigations
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other parties involved in the construction project to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications
  • Liaise with quantity surveyors about the ordering and the pricing of materials
  • Ensure that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to
Requirements:
  • Studying a Civil or Construction/Project Management Degree
  • Hold a full UK driving license
  • Passionate about starting a career in the civils industry
  • High attention to detail coupled with meticulous planning and organisational skills
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in all aspects of engineering and looking for a dynamic workplace that provides an outstanding career opportunity
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work flexibly in a team, and be a hard worker
