Job Description - Placement Civil Construction Engineer

Job Overview

Farrans Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Placement Civil Construction Engineer to join our team. As a Placement Civil Construction Engineer, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading construction company known for its commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake surveys and setting-out on site to ensure accurate measurements and layouts.
  • Prepare drawings and calculations to ensure quality control and compliance procedures are adhered to for engineering.
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure that deadlines are being met and projects are delivered on time.
  • Liaise with clients and carry out site investigations to identify potential issues and provide solutions.
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and other parties involved in the construction project to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications.
  • Liaise with quantity surveyors about the ordering and the pricing of materials to ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure that health and safety and sustainability policies and legislation are adhered to throughout the project.

Requirements

  • Studying a Civil or Construction/Project Management Degree.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Passionate about starting a career in the civils industry.
  • High attention to detail coupled with meticulous planning and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrate a strong interest in all aspects of engineering and looking for a dynamic workplace that provides an outstanding career opportunity.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work flexibly in a team, and be a hard worker.
