About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing civil engineering activities on schemes within the General Civils Sector. This will include:

  • Leading a team of engineers and technicians to deliver civil engineering schemes
  • Developing and implementing safe methods of work to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all personnel
  • Managing and maintaining accurate records of measurement and quantities for direct and subcontract works
  • Identifying and mitigating risks to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Providing technical guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians
Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Developing and implementing project plans and schedules
  • Coordinating and managing the work of engineers, technicians, and other stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with company quality assurance documentation for ISO 9001, 14001, and 18001 systems
  • Leading by example and promoting a culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness
  • Providing technical support and guidance to junior engineers and technicians
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
  • Extensive experience in civil engineering, including project management and team leadership
  • Strong technical knowledge and skills, including CAD, N4CE/LSS, and contract management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
