Key Responsibilities- Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and develop strategies to recover them.
- Investigate historical data for each debt or bill to identify potential issues and areas for improvement.
- Establish and maintain effective communication with clients to resolve payment discrepancies and negotiate timely payments.
- Process payments and refunds in a timely and accurate manner.
- Resolve billing and customer credit issues through diligent research and negotiation.
- Update account status records and collection efforts to ensure accurate tracking and reporting.
- Provide regular reports on collection activity and accounts receivable status to management.
- Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role, with a strong track record of debt recovery.
- Knowledge of billing procedures and collection techniques, including skip tracing and debt collection laws.
- Familiarity with laws related to debt collection, such as the FDCPA.
- Working knowledge of MS Office and databases, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Comfortable working with targets and deadlines, with a strong attention to detail.
- Patience and ability to manage stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Skilled in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- High school diploma; Associate's/Bachelor's degree is a plus.
