Youth Support Worker

Job Purpose:
This role involves direct work with young people requiring accommodation due to adversity or trauma, under instruction from Children's Hearings or Courts. The successful candidate will promote a sense of safety and connectedness, teaching coping skills in challenging situations.
Main Duties:
- Care for and develop multiple children and young people, creating individualized placement programs with social and educational targets.
- Liaise with area team social workers to ensure alignment of care plans and tasks.
- Maintain regular contact with parents or relatives to facilitate ongoing family relationships and cooperation in achieving social and educational targets.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
- HNC in Social Care or equivalent qualification.
- Desirable experience working with children and young people or supporting vulnerable individuals.
- Ability to work effectively within residential childcare settings.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Pension scheme.
- Up to 40 days' holiday per year.

Salary Estimate: £28,000 - £38,000 per annum.
