We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Skilled Engineer to join our team at Newport City Homes. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for delivering a professional and cost-effective service to our customers, maintaining and improving their homes.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake heating work, including repairs, maintenance, and installation of gas appliances, gas pipes, and other associated tasks.
- Conduct plumbing work, including repairs, maintenance, and installation of pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Conduct safety inspections and complete gas safety documents as required.
- Undertake multi-skilled ancillary tasks, including basic carpentry, tiling, and plastering.
- Supervise, mentor, and coach apprentices and other team members.
- Ensure all repairs are completed to a high standard, within the specified time, and in accordance with current regulations.
- Drive an allocated works vehicle, ensuring safe use and storage of plant and equipment.
- Accurately record work time, materials, and plant used to complete repairs.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to achieve business objectives.
- Proven experience in gas and plumbing maintenance and repair.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
