As an Observational Research Manager at Indiana Biosciences Research Institute, you will play a crucial role in enabling the use of high-quality real-world data to meet priority evidence generation needs across our portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and industry experts to design, conduct, interpret, and publish observational research that informs decision-making from early development to clinical trials and safety and efficacy of our medicines.
  • Manage research projects involving analysis of multiple data types, including medical claims, electronic health records, registries, and prospective observational cohort studies in US, EU, Asia, and emerging market countries.
  • Evaluate real-world data to ensure quality, validity, completeness, reliability, and applicability.
  • Conduct data landscaping reviews and gap analyses to identify strategic opportunities to meet real-world evidence needs with fit-for-purpose data.
  • Communicate with internal and external partners to manage and execute studies.
  • Prepare research reports and scientific manuscripts.
  • Stay abreast of the latest developments in observational research and drug development.

Requirements:

  • Degree educated in Epidemiology or other subject with high observational research content.
  • Previous experience in design, execution, and analysis of observational research studies within Pharmaceutical or Public Health setting.
  • Experience working with secondary data systems, including administrative claims, EMR, registries.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous work experience in multi-disciplinary teams.
