Research Finance Manager

As a key member of the Brunel Management Accounts Team, this role provides leadership on research grant management. The post holder is responsible for providing a comprehensive and high-quality post award service for externally funded research and related projects of the University. This includes managing a portfolio of research projects, many large and/or complex, and providing financial advice and support to academic researchers, Institute Administrative staff, and other University departments involved in post award administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of research projects, including large and complex projects
  • Provide financial advice and support to academic researchers, Institute Administrative staff, and other University departments
  • Develop and implement effective financial management strategies for research projects
  • Ensure compliance with University policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in research finance management
  • Strong financial management and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
