Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Community Psychiatric Nurse to join our Crisis Community Mental Health Team in Newcastle and surrounding areas. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive assessments and care planning for individuals with mental health needs
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote recovery and well-being
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Provide education and support to individuals, families, and carers to promote mental health and well-being
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and outcomes

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse with a valid nursing license
  • Experience working in mental health services, preferably in a community setting
  • Strong assessment and care planning skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
