Registered Homecare Manager

We are seeking an experienced Registered Homecare Manager to join our team at Pin Point Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of our children's home, ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of our young people, and working closely with our Residential Director to embed therapeutic interventions and practice within the home.
About the Role:The Registered Homecare Manager will be responsible for:
- Leading the day-to-day operations of the children's home, including supervising staff and ensuring the home is physically safe and provides a good quality environment for the children.
- Ensuring the safeguarding and wellbeing of our young people, including assessing their development needs and monitoring and improving the home's care plan and practices.
- Working closely with our Residential Director to embed therapeutic interventions and practice within the home, including developing systems for monitoring progress towards the achievement of aims and objectives.
- Recruiting, training, and developing staff to meet the objectives of the home in accordance with agreed procedures.
- Ensuring the protection and safeguarding of the wellbeing of the young people in our care, including managing complex behaviors and building and creating mutual trust and respect with young people.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- To hold an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Children's Services or equivalent, or to be working towards the completion of an NVQ Level 5.
- Direct experience in leading and supporting an Ofsted inspection and Reg 44 visits.
- Previous experience in a Registered Manager role within a children's home or residential Children's Care Setting.
- Evidence of previous Ofsted reports that showcase your experience and knowledge as a Registered Manager.
- Physically fit, able to pass the Ofsted fit person questionnaire.
- Knowledge of Child Protection & Safeguarding.
- Ability to drive and hold a current driving license.
- Experience in the line management of staff, including supervision.
- Social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Any relevant or transferrable skills, such as First Aid training.
- Knowledge of the Children Act & Children's Homes Regulations.
- Understanding and knowledge of the Therapeutic Approach to Childcare.
