About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HGV Technician to join our team at Pollock (SCOTRANS) Ltd. As a key member of our workshop division, you will be responsible for diagnosing and fault-finding issues with vehicles and trailers using the latest diagnostic equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle and trailer issues using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques.
  • Maintain and repair vehicles and trailers to manufacturer specifications, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of all paperwork and documentation, including parts booking and legal documents.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to our fleet workshop office staff to meet and exceed targets.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety protocols and best practices.
Requirements
  • Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) or part-qualified HGV Technician up to Level 2 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair).
  • HGV Class 1 CE licence beneficial.
  • 3 years previous experience in HGV maintenance and repair.
  • Intuitive diagnostic skills and ability to carry out PMI to DVSA standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
