HGV Technician Job Description

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and fault-finding issues with vehicles and trailers, ensuring all vehicles are maintained in accordance with manufacturer specifications, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle faults using advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs
  • Ensure all vehicles are roadworthy and compliant with regulatory requirements
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
  • Work collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve targets and improve efficiency

Requirements

  • Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) or part-qualified HGV Technician up to Level 2 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair)
  • 3 years previous experience in a similar role
  • Intuitive diagnostic skills and ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
