HGV Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Gregory Group. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and fault-finding issues with vehicles and trailers using the latest diagnostic equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle faults using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Ensure all vehicles and trailers are maintained to manufacturer specifications.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers.
  • Work collaboratively with the workshop team to achieve targets and deadlines.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy working environment by adhering to health and safety policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) or part-qualified HGV Technician up to Level 2 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair).
  • 3 years previous experience in a similar role.
  • Intuitive diagnostic skills and ability to work with complex vehicle systems.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under own initiative and manage time effectively.
