HGV Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join our team at Gregory. As an HGV Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing complex issues with heavy vehicles and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and repair issues with heavy vehicles and trailers using advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Maintain vehicles and trailers to manufacturer specifications, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Collaborate with the fleet workshop team to meet and exceed performance targets.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols and best practices in the workplace.

Requirements:

  • Qualified HGV Technician up to Level 3 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) or part-qualified HGV Technician up to Level 2 (Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair).
  • HGV Class 1 CE licence beneficial.
  • 3 years previous experience required.
  • Intuitive diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to carry out PMI to DVSA standards.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under own initiative.
