Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Project Manager to lead the procurement activities for our Marine Sensor Enhancement Team (MSET) contract. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-profile project that will maximize days at sea for the Royal Navy Fleet by ensuring sustained, long-term availability and resilience of critical assets, spares, and repairs over the next 15 years.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the needs of the business in the short, medium, and long term.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure acquisition or sourcing strategies are aligned to the needs of the business.
  • Manage all procurement aspects, including negotiating with suppliers, to obtain a complete and competitive supply chain architecture.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and functions to ensure work packages are executed in accordance with technical, program, cost, and performance requirements.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in procurement project management, with a strong understanding of procurement processes and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate risks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
