Procurement Project Manager MSET UWS

Thales UK is seeking a skilled Procurement Project Manager to join our Underwater Systems team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing procurement activities for our Marine Sensor Enhancement project, worth £1.85 billion. Your primary objective will be to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of critical assets, spares, and repairs to the Royal Navy Fleet.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs
  • Manage procurement activities, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract management
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure competitiveness and quality
  • Manage budgets and costs to ensure project deliverables are met

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in procurement management, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and policies
