Job Title: Procurement Project Manager MSET UWS

Thales is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Project Manager to join our team in Templecombe, United Kingdom. As a key member of our Procurement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our Underwater Systems projects.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities across multiple projects, including the Marine Sensor Enhancement Team (MSET) contract. This is a vast new contract worth £1.85 billion, which aims to maximise days at sea for the Royal Navy Fleet by ensuring sustained, long-term availability and resilience of critical assets, spares, and repairs over the next 15 years.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet business needs
  • Manage procurement activities across multiple projects, including the MSET contract
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure acquisition or sourcing strategies are aligned to business needs
  • Develop supply chain architecture and negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive supply chain solutions
  • Manage all procurement aspects to ensure work packages are executed in accordance with technical, program, cost, and performance requirements
Requirements
  • Proven experience in procurement management, preferably in a similar industry
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and policies
