Portfolio Payroll is seeking a skilled Payroll Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. As a Payroll Administrator, you will be responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and administration, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:- Process payroll from start to finish, including data entry, calculations, and payments.
- Maintain and update employee records on our payroll system, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with staff and management on payroll-related queries and issues.
- Interpret awards and agreements, and calculate statutory payments, including SMP and SSP.
- Process termination payments, increases, and back pay, and complete month-end and year-end processes.
- Reconcile payroll to budgets and make payments.
- Strong understanding of payroll and relevant legislation, including tax and national insurance.
- Excellent numerical ability and data entry skills.
- Ability to interpret awards and relevant legislation.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage a heavy workload.
