Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Information and Systems Officer to join our team at Payrolljobsboard. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for generating and producing reports and information for use by the Payroll Team, Finance Department, and wider university.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate and produce reports and information for use by the Payroll Team, Finance Department, and wider university.
  • Assist with the maintenance and development of the payroll systems.
  • Work with the Head of Payroll and Deputy on payroll and pension related projects.
  • Suggest ways to improve or automate processes and implement developments that will add value, save time, or increase data quality.
  • Use excellent Excel skills to integrate and organise reports from and to our payroll software (ResourceLink) and from other sources such as Business Objects and our claims system (VT2000).
  • Act as the primary recipient of payroll related reporting data requests and provide accurate and timely data to internal and external customers.
  • Assist in the resolution of general queries coming from staff or providers.
Requirements
  • Ability to utilise a wide range of functions in Excel.
  • Experience of working and prioritising several projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle confidential data and information in a sensitive and professional way.
  • The ability to spot and investigate anomalies in relevant data extracts.
  • Understanding of good project management.
  • Experience of working in a Pensions/Payroll or Finance setting.
