**Job Title:** Autism Support Specialist

**Location:** Islington, London

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) to support students across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.

This full-time, long-term role is perfect for someone who is enthusiastic about making a difference in the lives of children with additional needs. You'll work closely with teachers, SEN coordinators, and families to provide tailored support, helping students with ASD reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in a school or similar setting.
  • A good understanding of SEN strategies, particularly those related to ASD.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  • Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to problem-solving.

**Key Responsibilities:**

Student Support

You will provide one-on-one and group support for students with ASD, assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

Collaboration and Communication

You will collaborate with teachers and the SENCO to ensure inclusive learning environments, encouraging social interaction and supporting emotional well-being.

Progress Monitoring

You will observe and report on students' progress and challenges to inform future strategies.
