Job Summary:

Rise Resourcing is seeking an experienced Merchandising Specialist to join our team in a well-established retail company based in the Midlands. As a key member of the Merchandising team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing the multi-channel merchandising strategy for your own product area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a customer-centric category range strategy to drive sales and revenue growth.
  • Manage the category budget and ensure effective allocation of resources.
  • Accurately forecast demand, OTB, returns, and margin to optimize WSSI.
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal teams to continuously develop and optimize product lines.
  • Monitor market and competitor activity to stay ahead of the competition.

Working Relationships:

  • Collaborate with warehousing, shipping, finance, and sales teams to optimize sales and margin.
  • Work closely with internal teams to improve product forecasting and sales performance.
  • Contribute to supplier review processes and highlight areas for improvement.
  • Take ownership of your area and address any category issues that arise.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in retail merchandising is essential.
  • Good level of education is required.
  • Highly accurate with a good attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload.
  • High commercial awareness.
  • Strong numerical skills with the ability to analyze data.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise/influence effectively at all levels.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office products, specifically Excel.
