Medical Secretary and Patient Pathway Coordinator

Job Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. The role is varied and requires someone who can adapt well, manage duties effectively, and work in a fast-paced environment.
You will need to be reliable, flexible, and hard-working with excellent communication and IT skills. Delivery of deadlines is key to this role; you will be expected to work as a team member and also as an individual using your own initiative.
Main Duties of the Job
Manage and monitor patients through their treatment pathway ensuring compliance to RTT, cancer pathways, and local waiting time standards.
Key liaison between the Trust and outsourced dictation services or voice recognition services for the majority of clinical administration.
Provide comprehensive administrative, clerical, and audio typing support to consultants and their teams.
Work in a team-based secretarial service providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service.
Act as a key point of liaison between patients, GPs, other staff, and outside agencies.
