Food Technology Specialist for SEMH Students

Future Education is seeking a highly skilled Food Technology specialist to join our team as a teacher at a SEMH school in West Drayton.

The ideal candidate will have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in Food Technology or Design & Technology, and experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4.

We are offering a competitive salary equal to the main Teachers' pay scale plus SEN points, making it an attractive opportunity for those looking to make a difference in the lives of students with SEMH and/or challenging behaviours.

This is a full-time, permanent role that requires strong classroom management skills and the ability to work with students who require additional support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver tailored Food Technology lessons for SEMH students, promoting their practical cooking and food preparation skills.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and hygiene in the Food Technology kitchen, ensuring a safe learning environment for all students.

Requirements:

  • QTS with a specialism in Food Technology or Design & Technology
  • Experience teaching Food Technology at Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4
  • Strong classroom management skills and ability to work with students with SEMH and/or challenging behaviours

Estimated Salary: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, depending on experience
