We are seeking a dedicated English Teacher to join our team at Parker Smith Inclusion Ltd. Our specialist SEMH school caters for students who cannot access mainstream education due to complex mental health needs.

About the Role

As an English Teacher, you will work closely with students who have suffered adverse childhood experiences, requiring a therapeutic approach to learning and support. You will be responsible for delivering a therapeutic teaching approach, experience of teaching emotional regulation, and positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies.

Requirements
  • Therapeutic teaching approach with a focus on emotional regulation and positive behaviour/de-escalation strategies
  • Experience of teaching students with SEMH, Trauma, Sensory processing, and social communication teaching background
  • Ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with vulnerable students
  • Experience of working with disengaged teenagers
  • Expertise in the SEND education industry, including an understanding of school hiring practices and requirements
