About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Mathematics Teacher to join our team at Veritas Education. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students with Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, particularly in a secondary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality math lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEMH.
  • Utilize assistive technologies and adaptive equipment to support students with physical disabilities or sensory impairments in accessing the math curriculum.
  • Collaborate with other teachers, teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to create a cohesive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in special education and adapt teaching strategies to meet the evolving needs of students.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Math, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs, particularly in a secondary school setting.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Math and the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with assistive technologies, adaptive equipment, and accommodations for students with disabilities.
