Role Overview
Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Child Psychologist to join their multi-disciplinary team at Fareham and Gosport CAMHS.

About the Role
This Band 8A or 7-8A preceptorship post offers a unique opportunity for a dynamic and caring psychologist to grow their career in CAMHS, working with children and families. The successful candidate will be part of a warm and lively team united in providing the highest quality care. As a senior practitioner psychologist, you will have scope to develop your areas of interest, including specific presentations or therapy.

Key Responsibilities
  • To provide high-quality assessments, psychological formulations, and interventions to young people experiencing complex mental health problems.
  • To deliver individual and group interventions to families and young people in line with their needs and goals.
  • To contribute to neurodevelopmental assessments and team discussions as part of the Neurodevelopmental Team.
  • To work together with other agencies and services to develop and implement interventions and care plans.
  • To be an integral part in developing and delivering clinical care pathways.

Requirements
  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in applied psychology.
  • Professionally registered as a Practitioner Psychologist with the Health Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Desirable: Pre-qualification training and qualifications in research methodology, staff training, and/or other fields of applied psychology.
