About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced professional to support UASC and refugee young people and children. The ideal candidate will have excellent assessment and case management skills, with the ability to work in partnership with users, carers, relatives, and other agencies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To undertake age and trafficking assessments and follow CIC procedures
  • To use professional knowledge to assess, monitor and review social care needs of individuals, relatives and carers within a specific care group
  • To arrange, provide or purchase appropriate services/care within the Department's agreed priorities and resource framework
  • To work in partnership with users, carers, relatives, and other agencies, to identify current and future service requirements
  • To contribute to service development within the scope of the role

Key Decision-Making Areas:

  • To decide which risks and care/support needs fall within the Department's agreed priorities and eligibility criteria
  • To decide on the most appropriate level and type of service provision to meet identified needs/risks
  • To decide on appropriate care plan which is within statutory and legal framework and reflects best value

Requirements:

  • A relevant qualification in Social Work or a related field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management and organisational skills

Salary: £40,250 - £45,502 per annum plus up to £4,500 per annum market supplement

Location: Parkway, Fareham

Hours per week: 37

Contract Type: Permanent
